or damaged parts, do not use the device but contact
your dealer. Retain the packaging or dispose of it ac

Caution: For the safety of children, please do not

1. Unwind the supplied power cord. Set the base on a
dry, flat and stable surface.
2.
Fill the kettle with clean water up to its maximum
capacity.
3.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
4.
Before using the kettle for the first time, fill it with
clean water up to the maximum capacity and boil it.
5.
Pour off the water and repeat 2-4 times.
Note: The appliance should always be unplugged
when filling or adding water. Pouring water over the
base of the kettle may result in an electric shock
REPAIR
This unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not
repair the unit yourself. Always have it repaired by a
specialist.
If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, a service technician or appro

priately qualified persons. Packaging materials are
100 % recyclable and are marked with the recycling
symbol. Dispose of the packaging material in accord
-
ance with local regulations. Keep packaging materials
out of reach of children, as they can be a source of
danger.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the unit from the mains.
2. The lid must be closed when boiling water.
3.
Proper and regular cleaning ensures safe use and
prolongs the life of the appliance.
Warning! Turn off the unit, unplug it from the mains
and let it cool down before performing any cleaning
or maintenance to avoid electric shock and burns. a)
Remove dust with a dry cloth b) For heavier dirt, you
can use a damp cloth and neutral detergent.
Caution! Do not use any strong chemicals, alkaline,
abrasive or disinfecting agents for cleaning as they
may harm the surface of the device.
Caution: Do not immerse the instrument or base in
water or other liquids.
4. To remove limescale from the kettle and the heater,
prepare a solution of water and vinegar (1 part vine-
gar to 2 parts water). Then pour it into the kettle and
heat it up, but DO NOT COOK! Leave the solution in
the kettle for about 1 hour, then pour it out, fill the
kettle to the brim with water and boil. After pouring
out the water, remove any remaining sediment with
a damp cloth. In the case of heavy deposits, it is rec
-
ommended to descale the water more frequently. Do
not use chemicals designed for espresso machines or
irons to remove limescale.
Note: The frequency of descaling depends on the
quality and type of water used.

Clean the device as described and allow it to dry
completely. It is recommended to store the device
in its original packaging.

Always store the device in a dry ventilated place out
of reach of children.

conformity has been issued, which is available to the
market surveillance authorities.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Do not dispose of the electronic equipment
together with standard household waste. In
pursuance of the European Directive 2002/96/
EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE) and its incorporation into the national law, the
waste electrical and electronic equipment must be
subject to separate collection and recycling. The
waste equipment can be returned to an electronic
waste collection point, which is involved in the
disposal of the equipment in pursuance of the
national recycling and waste act.
