Energy channel recalibration (MCA)
In order to recalibrate the instrument, proceed as follows:
1. In the software program, select the “Recalibration” menu item beneath the
green “Start” button and then select “MCA Recalibration”.
The corresponding program window is displayed.
2. Place the MCA sample on the sample table.
3. Set the correct distance for the sample.
Use the video camera and the laser pointer as aids.
4. Click on “OK” followed by “Start”.
The energy channel recalibration procedure is carried out automatically.
After the measurement is completed, a result window is displayed.
The spectrometer is recalibrated.
