Uninterruptible power supply – UPS
Note
The first installation of the UPS must be performed by a technician who is
authorized by SPECTRO.
If you would like to retrofit the instrument, please order the retrofitting set:
Part number 71000229: UPS 230V/50-60HZ + accessories
Part number 71000230: UPS 110V/60HZ + accessories
Notice! Risk of damage!
Without a UPS, the X-ray tube may be damaged in case of frequent power
failures.
When a UPS is available, ensure that the entire power supply system of
the instrument is connected to the UPS.
Connecting a laser printer to the UPS may destroy the UPS.
Never connect a laser printer to the UPS.
If the instrument is equipped with the vacuum option, this UPS must not be
used.
If possible, ensure to provide an uninterrupted power supply
In case of a power failure, the UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) sends a signal
to the instrument. The instrument is then shut down in a controlled manner. In the
case of extended power failures, the computer is shut down after a given amount
of time.
