“Heater 1 –
Contactor
Error”
1. Caused by heater#1 contactor (2K1M)
not switching when requested. The PLC
should signal the contactor to operate,
when the contactor switches, an auxiliary
contact should give the PLC a signal. If
the PLC does not receive a return signal
within a preset time then a fault alarm is
raised.
1. Contactor failure.
2. Loose wire at contactor.
1. Replace contactor.
2. Check for a short at the contactor or
loose/frayed wires.
“Heater 1 –
Over Temp”
1. Caused by the heater internal
temperature switch (X5) opening. Heater
#1 thermostat detected a temperature
higher than the set value on the dial.
1. Remove the cover on the Heater
and check the dial set on Heater #1.
2. Check K1T timer relay is set to the
proper settings.
1. Set the thermostat to ~210
°
F.
2. Replace thermostat.
3. Set the K1T relay is set to .2, 1, R. Cycle
power on the system to implement the
setting.
“Heater 2 –
Contactor
Error”
1. Caused by heater#2 contactor (3K1M)
not switching when requested. The PLC
should signal the contactor to operate,
when the contactor switches, an auxiliary
contact should give the PLC a signal. If the
PLC does not receive a return signal
