7. REVERSING THE SAFETY COUPLINGS
Most wheelchairs include thrust handles (Figure 29/a); however, some
wheelchairs are equipped with a horizontal bar on the rear part on the seat
back (Figure 30/a).

When a horizontal bar is used, rotate the safety clamp assembly (Figure 31/a)
(which is equipped with a second hole - Figure 31/b) 90° so that the red hook
(Figure 31/c) grasps the horizontal bar from downwards and not laterally. This
clamps the wheelchair to the steering bar with the same safety of traditional
wheelchairs.
