Operation on a Staircase
WARNING
Always fasten the seat belt before mounting a flight of
stairs.
Hold the steering bar firmly with both hands, whether on
stairs or on a level floor.
Do not move the stair climber with a passenger on board
before completing all operations described in the section
“Attaching a Wheelchair to the Stair Climber”.
Never release your grip on the handle bars while carrying
a passenger.
The person who uses the stair climber determines the stability of the
AmeriGlide Stair Climber. To avoid unstable conditions, adhere to the following
guidelines at all times.
Always place the AmeriGlide Stair Climber so that the transported passenger’s
shoulders are towards the ascent side. If during operation the stair climber does
not stop when you release the ascend/descend pushbutton, press the red
emergency
STOP
button on the steering bar control panel. Refer to the
emergency stop instructions in the section “Emergency STOP”.
