AmeriGlide Stair Climber Owner’s Manual

Travel Preparation

Battery

Check the battery charge once the AmeriGlide Stair Climber is fully assembled. 
First activate the machine without a passenger before using the machine on 
stairs. Note that using the machine when the battery charge condition 
indicator LED is blinking can cause battery damage.

Signals

WARNING

Always check the control panel on the steering bar for a 
tipping signal before proceeding onto a staircase.

If the visual signal is not functioning, DO NOT USE the 
stair climber! Call your Authorized Dealer.

Emergency STOP

Check the operation of the emergency 

STOP

 button (red button on the control 

panel).

•

Press the button; the controls should be off-line.

•

Reset the button by pulling it out.

WARNING

If the emergency STOP button does not function, DO NOT 
USE the stair climber! Contact your Authorized Dealer.

Manual Operation on a Level Floor

To move or turn in manual mode:

1

Using the steering bar as a lever, raise the front side of the AmeriGlide Stair 
Climber to utilize the manual auxiliary wheels.

2

Move the AmeriGlide Stair Climber towards you and turn in the desired 
direction. Proceed forward in the desired direction.
