2 Press the descend pushbutton until the STOP sticker (on the base of the
AmeriGlide Stair Climber) is parallel (Figure 21/a) to the edge of the first stair
(Figure 21/b).

3 Raise the steering bar (Figure 21/c) until the tracks touch the lower step.
Press the
descend pushbutton (there is a one second delay) until the
AmeriGlide Stair Climber contacts the first stair. Keep the descend
pushbutton engaged and travel down the stairs while holding the steering
bar firmly with both hands.
WARNING
The small blocks on the tracks can slide on the step edge
during operation and when at a standstill. Sliding can
cause the stair climber to tip over forward. Use caution
when operating. Hold the steering bar firmly with both
hands and do not release your grip.
