Step 3 Install Upgrade Processor
Next to the CPU on the Baby EISA motherboard is an empty Intel Math
Coprocessor and Upgrade Processor Socket. An 80487SX math coprocessor
can only be installed if the CPU is an Intel 80486SX.
Check for bent pins on the math coprocessor or Overdrive Upgrade
Processor. Gently straighten any bent pins with pliers.
Align the pins and press the Math Coprocessor or Upgrade Processor
firmly into the socket, making sure that pin 1 of the chip is aligned
with pin 1 of the socket. When the Math Coprocessor or Upgrade Processor
is correctly installed, a row of socket holes will show on the outside
on all sides, as shown in the drawing on the right below.
