INSTALLATION AND SERVICE GUIDE
AD DELTADOME OUTDOOR HOUSING
8000-2616-04, REV. B
Attaching the Housing to the
Outdoor Mounting Structure
Refer to Figure 4 while performing the following
steps.
!
WARNING! Turn power off.
Turn power off at the source before
beginning this procedure.
1. If a “Street L” pipe is attached to pipe of
mounting structure, remove it.
Note:
A Street L is like an elbow, except that
one end is female and the other end is male
(which does not mate with the housing).
2. Wrap Teflon tape three times around pipe
threads of mounting structure.
3. Thread elbow [a] from install kit onto
mounting structure.
Elbow should face down.
4. Route cable through pipe and elbow.
Ensure end of cable is 36cm (14") from edge of
elbow. This enables end of cable to be 3cm (1")
below housing once it is attached to elbow.

structure
4. Prepare cable (Figure 5).
a. Remove cable jacket to within 5cm (2") of
edge of elbow. Discard excess jacket.
b. Strip .6cm (.25") from ends of wires for
insertion into connectors on environmental
PC board.

5. Attach BNC connector to video cable.
A male 75-ohm BNC is supplied with a J-Box. If
not, purchase or supply the BNC separately.
6. Insert power and data cables and thread
outdoor housing onto elbow (Figure 6).
Insert stripped ends of power and data cables
through housing and strain relief cap. BNC
connector fits through hole.
CAUTION:
As you turn housing, be careful not
to tangle wires in housing and cables entering
housing together.
