- Dry Fit Door/Header (continued)

Next, have the other person place the center header section into position.
Align the hole in the header center section with the hinge pin and align the
glass channels with the glass panels.

Push the header section all the way down onto the glass panels and then
position the door in its closed position.

Check for clearance between the door and the glass panels as well at the
top and bottom of door.

There should be minimum of

the door and panels. If you need to, push the panels into the side casings to
increase your gap to no more than ¼".

Place the side casing caps in place to ensure a good fit. You may need to
notch for a good fit with the glass.
6.
With a pencil, mark your side glass panel positions when adjusted correctly,
this will give you a reference point when permanently silicone in place.

- Silicone Side Panels in-place

The glass panels and header pieces are secured in place with 100%
silicone.
2.
Apply a ¼" bead of 100% silicone into the side wall channels.
And along
the
edge of the threshold stepdown, only where the glass meets.
3.
Re-install the glass panel in the same way you did before and check
alignment again.
4.
Refer back to all of the previous steps and diagrams to make sure the glass
panels are in the proper position.
5.
Allow the silicone to dry. You can silicone any gaps between the stone and
glass to ensure water tightness.

- Install Glass Door & Header

Have someone help set door into position, don’t forget to install the washer
onto hinge pin.
Apply a ¼" bead of 100% silicone into the channel of the center header
piece.
Set header into position, don’t forget to install washer on hinge pin. Check
alignment and spacing.

Locate the side header pieces and apply a ¼" bead of 100% silicone into
the channels. Place them into position and push them all the way down
onto the glass panels. Be sure to align them to the center header.

Silicone the side casing caps in place.
6.
Allow the silicone to dry. Make sure the glass remains in the proper position.
Leave the door in the closed position and use braces to support the glass
until the silicone dries. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for drying time.

- Install
Door Sweep.
Locate the clear door sweep and attach it to the bottom of the glass door.
The reflective shield should face into the shower (dia 17). The door sweep is
what keeps the door closed. Adjust the door seal until the required tension is
achieved.
