5.7.4 Diving with the Aquajet
DANGER
Risk of Injury
When surfacing, there is a risk of collision with other people, watercraft or objects.
This can lead to serious or fatal injuries.
► When surfacing, make sure that there are no swimmers, watercraft or
objects in your path.
•
Increase the performance to at least 50%.
•
Bend your arms and pull yourself further onto the Aquajet.
•
Push the Aquajet bow down. When sufficient speed is reached, the Aquajet will
overcome its buoyancy and dive.
•
After submerging, reduce your speed to the speed that is comfortable for you or adjust
the speed to the visibility conditions under water.
•
To ascend, pull the bow of the Aquajet upwards with arms stretched out by the handles.
The higher the speed, the easier the steering manoeuvres will be, as the body acts like a
rudder under water.
If the factory-set maximum diving depth of approx. 2 m is exceeded, the motors switch off
automatically. Due to its positive buoyancy, the Aquajet resurfaces by itself. If the current diving
depth is again above the depth limit of approx. 2 m, you can continue driving with the activated
driving performance.
5.7.5 Diving over 2 m Diving Depth
Please observe the following safety instructions and explanations in addition to the safety
instructions and explanations valid for surface water and diving up to 2 m:
•
Only licensed divers may dive with the Aquajet deeper than 2 m.
•
Dive only if you are in full health and have a diving medical qualification.
•
Never dive unaccompanied. Particularly dives in caves should only be done
accompanied and with a second device.
•
Dive only with complete and functional diving equipment.
•
Check the depth sensor for proper function before each dive.
•
Never rely on the display of the depth sensor during diving, as it is for information only. In
particular, the depth sensor should not be used to calculate decompression times as it is
not calibrated.
•
Observe the permitted descent and ascent speeds for diving. Observe decompression
times.
