4.2 Battery and Charger
4.2.1 Safety when Handling Batteries
!
DANGER
Risk of Injury
Improper handling of the batteries and charger can result in serious or fatal
injuries.
► Protect the charger, especially the charging plug and the mains plug as
well as the charging socket of the batteries from damage, dirt, dust,
moisture and heat. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
► Never expose the batteries and charger to high temperatures
(maximum 60 °C / 140 °F), such as open fire, direct sunlight, in a
closed vehicle or trunk. In hot weather, burning gases can escape from
the battery cells and cause injury.
► Only charge in dry, cool and well-ventilated places.
► Never use a charger with damaged cables or plugs, as there is a risk
of electric shock.
► Only use the charger supplied by JAMADE GERMANY GMBH for
charging.
► Do not cover the batteries with other objects during the charging
process so that the heat generated during charging can be dissipated
to the outside (convection cooling). Ensure free air circulation.
► When using the charger in other countries, only use travel plugs that
are approved for currents of at least 10 A.
► Please note that the charger and the charging plug can heat up during
charging. When charging is complete, allow the charger and charging
plug to cool down before touching them.
