7.4.3.3 Removing the mechanical seal
Remove the mechanical seal in accordance with the general arrangement drawings.
7.4.3.3.1 Removing the pump-end mechanical seal

The back pull-out unit and the impeller have been removed as described above.
1. Pull the rotating assembly of mechanical seal 433.02 and, depending on the
version also spacer sleeve 525, off shaft 210.
2. Undo socket head cap screws 914.55.
3. Push the stationary seat of mechanical seal 433.02 out of discharge cover 163.
Use the extraction threads in the stationary seat, which are either M6 or M8,
depending on the size of mechanical seal.
7.4.3.3.2 Removing the drive-end mechanical seal
ü The back pull-out unit, impeller and pump-end mechanical seal have been
removed as described
1. Undo screwed connection 920.27 and pull the discharge cover out of the
bearing housing.
2. On installation types K and D remove the auxiliary impeller for coolant
circulation. Remove pump-end circlip 932.32, pull the auxiliary impeller off the
shaft, remove key 940.02 and drive-end circlip 932.32 (depending on the
variant).
3. Undo the grub screws of mechanical seal 433.01 and pull its rotating assembly
off the shaft.
4. Undo socket head cap screws 914.54.
5. Push the stationary seat of mechanical seal 433.01 out of bearing housing 350.
Use the extraction threads in the stationary seat, which are either M6 or M8,
depending on the size of mechanical seal.
