1. Place a suitable container under screw plug 903.05.
2. Unscrew and remove screw plug 903.03 with joint ring 411.03.
3. Unscrew and remove screw plugs 903.05 with joint ring 411.05. Drain off the
lubricant.
Filling in the lubricant

The pump set has been placed down in a vertical position.
1. Position the pump set as shown.
2. Screw in screw plugs 903.05 with joint ring 411.05.
3. Pour lubricant into lubricant filler opening 903.03 until the lubricant chamber
overflows.
4. Screw in screw plug 903.03 with a new joint ring 411.03.
7.2.3.2 Lubricating the rolling element bearings
The drive-end (radial) rolling element bearing of the pump set is grease-packed and
maintenance-free. The pump-end (fixed) bearings must be re-lubricated as part of
the maintenance work.
The maximum permissible re-lubrication interval for the pump-end bearings depends
on the fluid temperature as indicated in the following diagram (the bearings must be
re-lubricated at least every two years). Earlier re-lubrication as part of annual
maintenance work is permissible. The chamber for used grease is designed for re-
lubricating the bearings 9 times. The chamber for used grease is to be drained as part
of the general overhaul.
