contact your local authorized dealer or the manufacturer. 

 

Prepare to wrap 
 

Do  not  wear  loose-fitting  clothing,  which  may  catch  in  moving  parts.    Always  wear 
protective clothing and substantial shoes. 
We strongly recommend that you make certain that there is no non implicated people on 
the  wrapping  site.    This  is  particularly  important  for  the  owner  of  an  automatic  model 
operated from the tractor.  Never let the machine operated without superintendence. 

 
Before starting to work with your Stretch-O-Matic

®

, we strongly suggested tha 

you: 

 

Carefully study and understand this manual. 

 

Give the unit a visual inspection for any loose bolts, worn parts or cracked welds, and 
make the necessary repairs.   
Follow the maintenance safety instructions included in this manual.  

 

Be sure there are no lying tools on/or in the equipment.  

 

Do  not  use  the  unit  until  your  are  sure  the  area  is  clear,  especially  from  visitors, 
children and animals.  

 

Because it is possible that this equipment may be used in dry areas or in presence of 
combustibles,  special  care  should  be  taken  to  prevent  fires  and  fire-fighting 
equipment should be readily available. 

 

Instructions before towing your Stretch-O-Matic

®

 

 

It  is  possible  to  tow  your  bale  wrapper  but  the  recommended  maximum  speed  is  40 
kilometer per hour.  And, certain precautions allow to avoid disastrous situations.   
Therefore we recommend that you : 

 

Check  that  the  roller  table  is  safely  locked  into  the  upward  position  with the bar 
locked into place with both pins. 

 

Check that the draw pole is safely locked with the hitch pin locked into place. 

 

Attach a safety chain to the draw pole if the unit is to be towed on public road. 

 

Check that the wheels are straight.  

 

Close the steering cylinder’s valve to lock wheels. 

 

Comply  with  state  and  local  laws  governing  highway  safety  and  movement  of 
farm machinery on public roads. 

 

Use  approved  accessories,  lighting,  flags  and  necessary  warning  device  to 
protect operators of other vehicles on public roads during daytime and nighttime 
transport. Various safety lights and devices are available from your local dealer. 

 

Make sure all parked machines are on a hard, level surface; use wheel chocks to 
prevent machine from rolling if necessary.
