correctly installed and fulfil all conditions to ensure perfect
operation of the saw.
−
Damaged guards and parts must be properly repaired or
exchanged by a recognized, specialist workshop; insofar as
nothing else is stated in the instructions for use.
−
Damaged or illegible safety labels should be replaced
immediately.
Do not allow any tool key to be plugged in!
Before switching on, check always that wrenches and adjusting tools
are removed.
Store unused equipment in a dry, locked place out of the reach of
children.
Adopt safe procedures for cleaning, maintenance and regular
removal of chips and dust to prevent the risk of fire.
Make sure during its entire foreseeable life cycle that the machine
including its parts cannot tip over or move in an uncontrolled manner
when transporting, assembling, putting out of service and
scrapping.
Additional safety instructions for PTO operation
When choosing the PTO shaft bear in mind the angle to the tractor's
attachment carrier (wide angle PTO shaft, for example).
In case of tractors with a hydraulically or pneumatically operated PTO
shaft clutch an overrunning PTO shaft is mandatory.
Always secure the PTO shaft using the safety chain (25).
This machine may only be used on tractors with three-point hitch
(category 1 or 2).
The PTO speed in clockwise direction must not exceed
540 rpm
.
Before leaving the work area, stop and switch off the tractor and pull
off its ignition key.
For transport, the PTO shaft must be disengaged from the machine
and the PTO operation must be deactivated.
If lighting or signalling devices (such as brake, rear and flashing
lights) of the tractor are covered by the attachment, the user has to
attach an additional lighting assembly to be allowed to use public
transport routes.
According to DIN 11300, any parts of fitted or towed attachments
posing a traffic hazard must permanently carry red-white striped
warning plates.
Before eliminating faults or removing jammed wood pieces, stop and
switch off the tractor, pull off the ignition switch, wait until the saw
blade comes to a dead stop and disengage the PTO shaft from the
machine.
Assembling
Assembling the wheels
Remove the circlip and washer on each side. Leave the spacer
sleeve (1A) on the axle, slide the wheel (1) on and secure it using the
washer and circlip.
Attaching the support extension
Insert the support extension (17) in the tilt table and secure it using
the star grip screw (M8x15).
Before the first start-up
L
To achieve flawless functioning of the machine, please follow the
instructions listed:
Place the saw at a location which meets following conditions:
−
outdoor
−
secured against slipping
−
free of vibrations
−
even
−
free of tripping hazards
−
adequate light
To ensure a safer foothold when working with the saw secure the saw
against rolling away.
Before each use, check
−
that the plastics inserts is in a proper condition
−
the saw blade for flawless condition
−
the functioning of the jigging device
Do not use any cracked saw blades or such that have changed their
shape.
Do not use any saw blades made of HSS steel.
Immediately replace a worn or damaged plastics inserts.
Assume the correct work posture. Stand in front of the operating side
frontally to the saw blade line.
Start-up
1.
Remove the transport arm (28) and mount the machine
to the tractor's three-point hitch.
2.
Connect the PTO shaft and secure it using the safety chain (25).
Unlocking the transport safety device
3.
Push the tilt table (2) towards the saw blade.
Remove the spring pin (29) and release the
transport safety device (3).
4.
Flip down the transport safety device (3).
5.
Thanks to its return spring (11), the tilt table (2) automatically
comes to its home position.
PTO operation
6.
Put the tractor's hand throttle to minimum.
Make sure that the tractor's PTO shaft rotates in the correct
direction.
It must rotate in clockwise direction.
7.
Slowly engage the tractor's PTO shaft and allow the machine to
run up. (Make sure that the saw blade rotates in the correct
direction.)
8.
Adjust the required PTO speed using the hand throttle.
Maximum PTO speed: 540 rpm
The maximum PTO speed must not be exceeded, otherwise
an increased oil temperature can occur. This would result in
premature wearing.
Stopping
9. Deactivate the tractor's PTO operation.
Wait until the saw blade comes to a dead stop.
10. Disengage the PTO shaft from the tractor.
Rotational direction of the saw blade
L
Ensure that the rotational direction of the saw blade is the same as
the rotational direction given on the guard (19) .
Selection of saw blades
Consider when selecting the saw blade, that no edgeless or
damaged saw bands are used and that the diameter of the blade
location hole is 30 mm (note the nameplate on the machine).
