Safety
All and any tasks undertaken, may only be carried out by persons who
are authorized by the responsible person / operator.

The IONSTAR ionization device contains no parts which may be repaired by
the operator. Unauthorized changes to the device are prohibited for safety
reasons.
Damage to the IONSTAR may result in electric shock.
The ionisation device must be taken out of operation immediately in case of
visible damage.
The ionization device generates high voltage. If liquids enter the IONSTAR a
short circuit may be caused.
Never operate the ionizer with wet hands
If the device has been wetted with liquids, it must be cleaned and
allowed to dry accordingly
Moisture and dampness can cause spark discharge (arc-over) making it
possible to cause damage and short-circuit within ionization device.
The IONSTAR must be protected from moisture and damp
Short-circuit currents and short-circuit sparking, resulting from moisture,
damp or dirt, can cause an already present explosive atmosphere to ignite

Check the device regularly for dirt and contamination
If arcing (flashover) occurs, take the device out of operation
immediately
