UpdateVariableEx

Syntax - HRESULT UpdateVariableEx
(short nVariable, VARIANT vaudevilles)
•
Parameters -
nVariable
The first variable number in a range of consecutive
variables to update. Valid values are 0 to 99.
vtValues
A SAFEARRAY of new values (long) for the
variables. The variant type must be
(VT_ARRAY | VT_I4). The display is limited to
16-bit numbers, which can be signed or unsigned.

Return Value - S_OK - Success
E_FAIL - Failure

Description - This method is used to update a range of
consecutive variables in a single method call. The number of
variables updated is dependent on the number of values in the
array. If any of the variables are embedded in a running
message, the new values will be shown. The update variable
command will be sent to the display address set by the
DisplayAddress property. DisplayAddress should be set
before calling this method.
SetTime
•
Syntax - HRESULT SetTime
(DATE dtTime, BOOL fMilitary)
•
Parameters - dtTime
The time used to update the display’s clock.
fMilitary
A flag used to indicate if the time should be
displayed using 24-hour format.
TRUE - use 24-hour format
FALSE - use AM/PM format

Return Value - S_OK - Success
E_FAIL - Failure

Description - This method is used to set the display’s clock and
to set how the time will be shown on the display (AM/PM vs.
24-Hour). The set time command will be sent to the display
address set by the
DisplayAddress property. DisplayAddress
should be set before calling this method.
