All BLDC boards are equipped with an Electronic Reversing Device (ERD), which will cause the gate to reverse
direction when it comes in contact with an obstruction.
The amount of force required to reverse the gate’s direction depends on the ERD sensitivity setting.
The ERDs must be adjusted for the operator to provide regular, reliable & safe operations. If the gate reverses
direction on its own without hitting an obstruction, the ERD is too sensitive. If the gate does not reverse when it hits
an obstruction, the ERD is not sensitive enough.
The gate operator ERDs shall be tested and adjusted every six months by a qualified technician.
