8-4-2 DCS function
This function allows selective reception according to a similar principle to
the Tone Squelch function.
You can select from 104 DCS codes.

To cancel the DCS function, press the [FUNC] key to

on the LCD. Press the
key several times
to select “OFF” and then press the [FUNC] key. The DCS
function is deactivated.
CAUTION
• You should adjust the normal squelch level properly in advance even
when the DCS function is used. If the normal squelch remains open,
the Tone Squelch operation will require a longer time.
