19.7.2 Examples for the Connection of the Camera
19.7.2.1 Indoor Track and Field
In indoor arenas it is standard to have two different finishes. One is for the sprints of up to 60
m and the other one is for the oval. Therefore, it is necessary to have two different selectable
photo finish cameras. If you use the distribution box for such an installation it is easy to install
the cabling for the complete system.
It is possible to adjust the channels of the distribution box in a way that you can trigger the
recording of the photo finish of the sprint only with the sprint photocell and the oval with the
photocell of the oval.
The Distribution Box OCD2 has a built-in speech amplifier for the communication between
starter and timing operator. This means the timing operator connects the headset to the OCD2
and is able to communicate with the starter using the start wire for the communication. No ad-
ditional cable is necessary.
