Functional Description
The ALFRA APS 70 and 120 punching units are mobile pieces of equipment used to create round and long holes in
metallic semi-finished products. Through the integrated hydraulic cylinders half-finished products can be processed
using the required punch force provided at maximum 700 bar of pressure, in accordance with the section "Carrying
Capacity &
Choice of Tools".
The hydraulic pressure is generated in an external pump unit (ALFRA AHP-M or ALFRA AHP-L) and transmitted
via a flexible hose to the connection (6) with the punching unit. The hydraulic fluid creates pressure on the rotor
and the rotor rod and thus moves the tool (punch). In the rotor process a neoprene spring, attached to the rotor rod,
is charged, which generates the restoring force with which the system is again moved back into its initial position.
The hold-down device (1) fixes the component and thus enables easy stripping of the punch after punching. At the
top of the handle (4) there are 3 buttons (9) with which the punching process can be started,
paused and stopped.
(1) : Hold down
(2) : Die
(3) : Stop
