USING THE VEHICLE
ELECTRIC PARKING
BRAKE
The vehicle is equipped with an automatic
parking brake
EPB
(Electric Parking Brake).
It is automatically engaged when the engine is
turned off and disengaged when the engine is
running, the brake pedal is depressed and a gear
is engaged (1
st or reverse).
When the electric parking brake is engaged (with
the key in
STOP position) the warning light
on the instrument panel comes on.
During engagement and disengagement, the
warning light
flashes until the brake has
reached its maximum engagement force or is
fully released.
In the above mentioned conditions, the
automatic engagement function can be
deactivated/activated by pressing the button
A
on the dashboard.
CAUTION
During engagement or
disengagement of the electric parking
brake, always hold the brake pedal
depressed.
CAUTION
If the automatic engagement
function of the electric parking brake
(EPB) is deactivated, remember to
engage the brake manually.
