LCD TEST
1) Press the soft button corresponding to the text “LCD” on the right hand side of the display.
2) Press “PLAY” to turn on all LCD pixels. Verify that all pixels are on, and then press any key
to exit.
3) Note that the text “100%” is highlighted. This represents the brightness of the LCD backlight.
Turn the encoder counterclockwise and verify that the backlight turns off when the Backlight
control value reaches “0%.”
Note that this control only affects the LCD backlight and does NOT turn off the LCD itself.
Depending on ambient lighting conditions, the LCD graphics may still be visible even when the
backlight is off.
4) Turn the encoder clockwise until the Backlight control value reaches “100%.”
5) Turn the LCD contrast pot clockwise and counterclockwise. Verify that the LCD contrast
changes as the pot is rotated. Verify that with the pot turned completely clockwise, all pixels
are on/white. Verify that with the pot turned completely counter-clockwise, all pixels are
off/blue.
