Siemens SQN30 actuators are used on modulating burners. There are 5 cams on this actuator.
(II) 0 point cam.
(III) Minimum capacity adjustment cam.
(I) Maximum capacity adjustment cam.
(V) Min – max switching cam.
(IV) Not actively used.
SQN 30 damper motor stroke is 90° and
the time to achieve this stroke is 30s.
Note : Proper 0 (Zero) adjustment must be
checked. The air damper must be fully closed
when (II) cam indicates 0°.
Stage Switching cam; from 1st to 2nd
stage. (Must be adjusted 10-15°
smaller
than the 2nd stage point).

ORANGE : Min. Capacity adjustment
BLACK : Stage Switching cam; from 1st to
2nd stage. (Must be adjusted 10-15° smaller
than the 2nd stage point).
SQN 70 damper motor stroke is 90° and
the time to achieve this stroke is 30s.
