ADJUSTMENT OF CHAIN AND V-BELT
Stop engine, remove ignition wire from spark plug.
Adjust the chain by loosening the two screws that hold the tilting bearing
and move this a little bit upvards. Do not tighten the chain unless is is necessary
as It will mean too much wear and tear.
CUTTING HEIGHT
Stop engine, remove ignition wire from spark plug.
Ajust the cutting height by removing the finger screws that hold the rear
roller and ajust it up or down.
BLADE
Remove the ignition wire from the spark plug before working on or in
the vicinity of the blade.
• Never turn the lawn mower upside down. Also keep this in mind when you are
cleaning the mower.
When you tilt the mower, the ignition wire and the carburettor must point
upwards.
• If the lawn mower starts vibrating, stop the engine immediately. The cause
may be a faulty/loose blade or a bent engine shaft. We recommend that you go
to an authorised service dealer.
• Use work gloves when working on the blade.
The mower is adjusted so that the blade cylinder just touches the lower blade.
Readjustment is made by means of the finger screws:
Loosen the screws so that the cylinder runs freely. Then fasten at side where the
cylinder first touches the lower blade so thet these just touch each other. Repeat
this procedure at the other side. Test the adjustement with a piece of paper which
is clearly cut when it is inserted between the lower blade and the cylinder, and the
blade cylinder is turned by hand.
