REAR BRAKE
Adjust the rear brake pedal free play to be 20-30 mm
of free play at the tip of the pedal. Make the
adjustment by removing the brake clevis pin, and
unlocking the locknut as shown. Then rotate the push
rod shaft to increase or decrease free play. Re tighten
the lock nut and replace the clevis pin and secure with
a new split pin.
After adjusting the brake free play, check that the
rear brake lamp operates correctly.
WARNING!
FRONT BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
The front brake light switch is located under the brake
lever. When the lever is pulled and the ignition switch
is set to “ON” the rear brake lamp should light up.
REAR BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
The rear brake light switch is located on top of the rear
master cylinder. It is an in-line hydraulically operated
device. When the foot pedal is depressed, and the
ignition switch is set to “ON” the rear brake lamp
should light up.
