Brake pad wear limit grooves
If the brake fluid level falls too low, air can enter the
system and cause a spongy and ineffective brake.
BRAKE PADS
BRAKE SYSTEM INSPECTION
Periodically check the friction surface of the front and
rear brake pads to see if they have worn down to the
bottom of the brake pad wear limit grooves. If the pads
appear worn, replace them at your earliest
convenience. Worn pads can cause ineffective brakes
and can damage the surface of the brake discs.
Consult your AJS Dealer if you do not feel confident to
make these checks yourself.
Do not ride the motorcycle if the braking system is
defective or the brake pads are worn to the wear
limit grooves.
Contact your AJS Dealer for help.
WARNING!
After fitting new brake pads, do not ride the
motorcycle until you have pulled the front hand
brake lever and pushed the foot brake pedal
several times repeatedly to force the pads in
contact with the brake disc. Failure to do this could
mean that the brakes will not work properly when
you need them.
WARNING!
