Connect the speakers and external equipment before turning on the power.

Connecting the satellite speakers to the center speaker

While pressing down the lever of the terminal, insert the conductors of the speaker cord
by matching the cord with a broken line to the + (red) terminal and the other to the –
(black) terminal and then release the lever.

Notes
• Connect the speaker cords to the terminals with the correct polarity. Otherwise, the
stereo image will be lost.
• Do not connect any other cords other than the satellite speakers cords to the
SPEAKERS terminal on the center speaker.
• Connect the speaker cords before connecting the AC power cord to the wall outlet.

Connecting the center speaker to the external equipment.

This unit can be connected to equipment such as personal computers, CD-ROM players,
TV sets, portable CD players, etc.
To connect to a headphones jack (stereo mini jack),
use the supplied connecting
cord.
• To plug the cord in a stereo standard jack, use the optional plug adaptor to convert the
plug to match the stereo standard type.
• To connect to a monaural mini jack, use the optional plug adaptor to convert the plug of
the supplied connecting cord to match the monaural mini jack. If the cord is connected
without the plug adaptor, there will not be any sound from the right speaker.
To connect to line output jacks (RCA/phono jacks),
use an optional connecting cord
(Aiwa SSW-1, etc.).
Refer to the user’s guide supplied with the external equipment as well.

When the AC cord of the center speaker is connected to a wall outlet, the AC OUTLET jack
can be used for power supply of other equipment which consumes power under 100 W.
• The center speaker may be damaged if equipment which consumes power over 100 W is
connected to the AC OUTLET jack.
