OPERATION

Once you turn on the system, the auto power on/off function eliminates the bother of your
pressing the POWER button every time you want to turn on or off the system.  For the first
time, adjust the volume depending on the size of the room the system is installed and also
depending on the connected equipment.  After this, adjust the overall volume on the
connected equipment.

1

Press the POWER button to turn on the system.

A

The POWER indicator located above the button lights up.

2

Start playback on the connected equipment.

Refer to the Operating Instructions of the connected equipment.

3

Adjust the overall volume.

B

To increase the overall volume,

turn the VOLUME control toward MAX.

To decrease the overall volume,

turn the VOLUME control toward MIN.

Normally adjust the control at a little higher level than the medium.

4

Adjust the volume of the subwoofer.

C

To increase the volume of the subwoofer, slide the BASS LEVEL control toward MAX.
To decrease the volume of the subwoofer, slide the BASS LEVEL control toward MIN.

The power of the center speaker (auto power on/off function)

After pressing the POWER button, if the audio signal from the connected equipment is not
supplied to the system for more than approximately one minute, the system turns off
automatically.  The power indicator goes off.  When the audio signal is supplied again, the
system turns on automatically.

Notes

• When the reproduced sound becomes distorted, adjust the VOLUME control to a lower

level.

• The BASS LEVEL control adjusts only the volume of the subwoofer.  (Thus the control will

not affect the satellite speakers’ volume.)

• When the level of the input signal is too low, there may be cases in which the reproduced

sound is heard intermittently due to the auto power on/off function.  In this case, turn up the
volume of the connected equipment.

• When you do not operate the system for an extended period of time, press the POWER

button to turn off the system or disconnect the AC cord from the wall outlet.
