3.2.3 Create Virtual AP (VAP)
The APO1200/APO1215 support broadcasting multiple SSIDs, allowing the creation of Virtual Access Points, partitioning
a single physical access point into
7
logical access points, each of which can have a different set of security, VLAN
Tag(ID) and network settings.
Figure 3-2
shows multiple SSIDs with different security type and VLAN settings.

3.2.3.1 Virtual AP Overview
The administrator can view all of the Virtual AP's settings via this page.
Please click on
Wireless -> Virtual AP Setup
and the Virtual AP Overview Page appears.
VAP :
Indicate the system's Virtual AP.
ESSID :
Indicate the ESSID of the respective Virtual AP
MAC Address :
The MAC address of the VAP Interface is displayed here. When you enable AP and reboot system,
the MAC address will display here.
Status :
Indicate the Status of the respective Virtual AP.
The
Primary AP

Security Type :
Indicate an used security type of the respective Virtual AP.
MAC Filter :
Indicate an used MAC filter of the respective Virtual AP.
Edit :
