ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
9.1.
GENERAL
Mains power supply wiring to the unit units should be via a local switch isolator fitted no more than 1.5 meters
away from the unit electrical/controls enclosure.
The isolator switch should have 3mm contact
separation on both poles (‘live’ and ‘neutral’) and the unit mu
st
be earthed.
The unit must be connected to the power supply line using a rigid heat resistant isolated cable of a diameter
that corresponds to the valid local regulations.
The unit must be correctly earthed to avoid over current and earth fault protection.
Do not overload extension cabling and wall outlets as this might result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
The electrical wiring of the ventilation unit must be executed according to the design by a professional
electrician. It is necessary to follow all instructions of this manual as well as local laws and regulations.
For preservation of the electrical protection rating, all the cables must pass through the side openings of the
control housing.
The wiring diagrams listed on the product take priority over diagrams listed in this manual.
Before wiring the product, check whether the connector markings correspond to the wiring diagram. If in doubt
contact our offices.
If the product is connected to another control
system than the original control system, contact
the company that supplied this system for
information regarding the electrical wiring of the
sensors and controls.
Proper operation of the unit can be guaranteed
only when using the original accessories
supplied by Barkell.
If it is necessary to place a sensor or other controls component inside the unit or on its casing check the
installation instructions with Barkell and the component manufacturer.
IMPORTANT:
Main supply voltages (220-240/400V) present on this equipment might cause death or serious
injury by electric shock!
The main isolator switch of the electric power supply must be turned off before any intervention to the ventilation
unit!
IMPORTANT:
Any interventions or modifications of the
inner electrical wiring of the unit are forbidden and will
lead to the loss of the warranty!
