The Status Indicator Lights are located on the side of the Ballast Assembly. The in-
dicator lights will provide you with important information about the operating status
of your unit. They will provide you with the following information:
“Lamp Status” Indicator
Green
Unit has power, ballast and UVC lamp are operating
correctly.
Red
Unit has power, UVC lamp is defective or not prop-
erly connected.
“Lamp Replacement” Indicator
Blue Solid
The UVC lamp is within its two year life span. No
action is needed.
Blue Flashing
The UVC lamp is outside its two year life span, output
has decreased and it should be replaced.
No Lights Illuminated
There are two possibilities.
1. The unit is not properly connected to the power
supply.
2. The ballast exceeded the safe operating tem-
perature. The thermal protector opened the
circuit disconnecting power to the ballast. The
circuit will automatically reset when the ballast
cools.

Placement and Installation
Placement Suggestions
The nano Induct units are designed to be installed within the duct of an HVAC sys-
tem. We recommend they be mounted on the supply side plenum.
• We recommend you leave the Rotational UV Shields in the closed position.
The shields should only be opened for specialized applications.
• The nano Induct should not be installed in extremely close proximity to heat
strips or other heat sources. Polymers can begin to soften at approximately
250˚F.
• Ensure you install the correct model for the job.
• NIND6 - up to 3 tons (1200 CFM)
• NIND9 - 4 to 6 tons (1600 - 2400 CFM)
• NIND14 - 7+ tons (4800+ CFM)
• Multiple units may be needed in larger air handlers or areas of higher
contamination.
