information stored in memory will be used to restore the system when a “wake
up” event occurs.

Power Management
This option allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving for Doze,
Standby, and Suspend modes. The table below describes each power
management mode:
Max Saving
It is maximum power savings, only available for
SL CPUs. The inactivity period is 1 minute in each
mode.
User Define
It sets each mode. Select time-out periods in the
PM Timers section.
Min Saving
It is minimum power savings. The inactivity
period is 1 hour in each mode (except the hard
drive).

Video Off Method
This setting determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.
V/H SYNC+Blank
Turns OFF vertical and horizontal synchronization ports
and writes blanks to the video buffer
DPMS
Select this option if your monitor supports the Display
Power Management Signaling (DPMS) standard of the
Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). Use the
software supplied for your video subsystem to select
video power management values.
Blank Screen
System only writes blanks to the video buffer.
