– In case it is not possible to control the
operation using the switches.
4–6 Emergency pump operation
NOTICE
• The emergency pump can only be used
for no more than 30 seconds at time
with a rest period 30 or more seconds
between uses.
• Do not use the emergency pump for
normal work because it puts a great load
on the pump, and do not use a pump
work cycle other than that described
below. You can damage the emergency
pump, and may burn out the motor.

(1) Press the emergency pump switch.
(2) When the emergency pump is on, each
switch and lever is operational.
It is not necessary to turn the deadman
switch to operate the boom or platform.
(3) If work is being done on a high place, and
it happens that the machine is inoperable
because of engine or pump trouble, use
the emergency pump to lower the person
to the ground.
(4) The emergency pump runs off the battery.

4–7 System failure light
The system failure light turns on when there is
a problem with the electrical system.

CAUTION
If the electrical system warning light
blinks, there is a problem with the
electrical system. Quickly and fully retract
the boom, stop the operation, and have
the machine checked immediately.
4–8 Platform level adjustment
If the pre-start check reveals that the platform
is inclined (front-back inclination of about 3
°
or more), adjust it as follows.
CAUTION
Even if the platform inclination is under
3
°, perform the adjustment if the
inclination makes work harder to do.
