Fuel Filter

Exchange fuel filter cartridge (X/4) after
approx. 100 operating hours. If engine
output drops, exchange the filter earlier.

To remove and insert cartridges, pro-
ceed as follows:

Drain the fuel. For this purpose, re-

move the fuel hose from the injection
pump. Collect the fuel in proper con-
tainer.

Remove hexagon screw (X/9) and

remove filter cap.

Remove filter cartridge (X/4) from fuel

tank.

Insert new filter cartridge in fuel tank

with seal, cap and pressure spring
placed underneath (see fig. X). Make
sure it fits tight - use new seals. Screw
on filter cap. (Before, check seals and
exchange, if necessary). Check for tight
fit.

Re-attach fuel hose.

Do not open the fuel line sys-

tem and injection pump – even
not for evacuation. The fuel

pump evacuates automatically, even
when tractor accidentally runs out of fuel
(refer to chapter “Evacuating the Fuel
System”).

Fuel Hoses

Exchange after every 2 years; ex-
change leaking fuel hoses immediately.

Evacuating the Fuel System

Evacuating the fuel system becomes
necessary after fuel has been com-
pletely used up or after exchanging or
cleaning the fuel-filter/fuel hoses.

Although the engine is equipped with an
automatic evacuation system, proceed
as follows:

Fill diesel fuel into fuel tank. Do not

loosen any screws or bolts on the fuel
system to avoid contamination.

Crank the engine several times with

recoil starter or electric starter and start
the engine.

Let the engine run for approx.

1 minute.
