4. Commissioning and Operation
Operations
l
Start the engine as specified in chap-
ter “Starting the Engine”.
l
Engage proper gear via gear shifter
(B/7).
l
For operations with PTO-powered
attachments:
Move PTO speed shifter (B/5) forward
in driving direction – attachment drive
is switched on.
l
Pull slightly on hand clutch lever
(B/2), unlock pawl (B/3) and slowly re-
lease it while you are pressing the throt-
tle.
Direction change from forward to
reverse:
l
Set speed control lever to idle posi-
tion.
l
Pull hand clutch lever backwards
(B/2).
l
Move the shifter (B/7) to “R”.
l
Slowly release the hand clutch lever
while you are pressing the throttle.
Proceed vice versa for direction change
from reverse to forward.

Never leave two-wheel tractor
unattended with the engine
running.
Never leave operator’s position at
steering handle during operation.
Never readjust steering handle dur-
ing operation – danger!
During all operation with the two-
wheel tractor, especially when turn-
ing, the operator must keep at a safe
distance as defined by the steering
handle.
Note for Mowing
After mowing or in case of jams:
l
Move gear shifter to idle position. The
machine comes to a stop but not the
knives, thus freeing the cutter bar from
grass.
l
Move the PTO speed shift lever to
position “0”.

If cleaning becomes neces-
sary during operation, the
engine must be switched off
and the spark plug connector discon-
nected or the ignition key removed
for safety reasons.
