“To Enable FTP

To Install FTP

1

Click 

Start > Settings > Control Panel

.

The Control Panel window appears.

Double- click the 

Add/Remove Programs

 icon.

The Add/Remove Programs window appears.

Click the 

Add/Remove Windows Components

 button.

The Windows Components Wizard dialog box appears.

Select the 

Internet Information Services (IIS)

 check box in the 

Components list box.

Click 

Details

.

The Internet Information Services (IIS) dialog box appears.

Select the 

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Server

 check box in the Sub 

components of Internet Information Services (IIS) list box.

This automatically selects the 

Common Files

 and 

Internet Information 

Services Snap- In

 check boxes.

Click 

OK

.

This saves the changes you made and closes the Internet Information 
Services (IIS) dialog box.

Click 

Next

 to install IIS.

Click 

Finish

 to complete the installation process.

To Enable FTP

Click 

Start > Settings > Control Panel

Administrative Tools 

icon.

The 

Administrative Tools

 window appears.

Double- click the 

Services 

icon.

The 

Services

 window appears.

Select the 

FTP Publishing Service

 service from the Name column.

Action > Start

  to  enable  FTP.
