Column Modules

User Guide

Trim the column.

For a new installation

, cut the column to approximately 60 mm from the face of the

transfer line assembly.

If reinstalling a column module

, inspect the column end with a magnifier. If cracked or

damaged, trim a very small length, a few millimeters, from the end.

Clean the column end with an alcohol wipe.

Slide one internal nut over the inlet column end.

Slide the appropriate UltiMetal ferrule over the inlet column end. See

If not already installed, slide one union hanger assembly onto the inlet transfer line arm as
shown. Be sure the hanger is at maximum extension on the arm. Use a T20 Torx driver to
tighten the screw until the hanger does not slide freely. Do not tighten completely.
