Troubleshooting
Error Messages
CAUTION
Carefully read the entire message! It may list additional risks with this procedure.

When the sequence concludes, do the following:

Cycle power.
Cycling power restores all previously installed options. Because calibration files are restored
from EEPROM, you should see several error messages.

Error Messages
If an error condition occurs in the signal generator, it is reported to both the front panel display
error queue and the SCPI (remote interface) error queue. These two queues are viewed and managed
separately; for information on the SCPI error queue, refer to the
E8663B Analog Signal Generator
Programming Guide
.
NOTE
When there is an unviewed message in the front panel error queue, the
ERR
annunciator
appears on the signal generator’s display.
