Language Reference

INITiate Subsystem

INITiate Subsystem

The INITiate subsystem is used to control the initiation of the trigger.
Refer to the TRIGger and ABORt subsystems for related commands.

Continuous or Single Measurements

:INITiate:CONTinuous OFF|ON|0|1

:INITiate:CONTinuous?

Selects whether the trigger system is continuously initiated or not. This
corresponds to continuous measurement or single measurement
operation.

When set to ON another trigger cycle is initiated at the completion of
each trigger cycle.

When set to OFF, the trigger system remains in the “idle” state until an
INITiate[:IMMediate] command is received. On receiving the
INITiate[:IMMediate] command, it will go through a single trigger
cycle, and then return to the “idle” state.

Off (recommended for remote operation)
