Description
The
dynamic
p o
w
er
accuracy
of
the
85037A/B
is
dep endent
up on
the
raw
(uncorrected)
resp onse
of
the
detector,
the
correction
routine
of
the
8757D
analyzer,
and
the
accuracy
of
the
8757D
Option
002
calibrator.
The
accuracy
of
the
calibrator
is
assumed
to
b e
within
sp ecications.
This
can
b e
c
hec
k
ed
b
y
follo wing
the
p erformance
test
pro cedure
in
the
8757D
man
ual.
The
correction
routine
is
xed
and
cannot
v
ary
,
so
it
is
also
assumed
to
b e
accurate.
The
high
accuracy
of
the
85037A/B
is
only
guaranteed
after
p erforming
the
built-in
c
haracterization
routine
(a
p o
w
er
cal)
in
the
8757D.
Once
this
is
done,
p erforming
an
y
dynamic
accuracy
tests
using
the
same
8757D
calibrator
is
ineectual
b ecause
the
only
error
that
will
b e
seen
will
b e
due
to
measuremen
t
rep eatability
and
an
y
p ossible
temp erature
drift.
Therefore,
to
v
erify
the
dynamic
accuracy
of
the
85037A/B,
only
the
raw,
uncorrected
p erformance
is
measured.
Once
this
has
b een
v
eried,
the
corrected
dynamic
accuracy
,
b
y
design,
m
ust
b e
within
sp ecication.
Indep

t

erication
of

corrected
and
uncorrected
sp ecications
can
b e
p erformed
b
y
using
either
of
the
t
w
o
alternativ
e
setups
sho
wn
in
