Prepare the Full Leg Full Spine configuration with
external collimator
In the examination room, position the X-Ray system, the Full Leg Full Spine
wall stand and the external collimator:
1.
Insert the DR detector in the Full Leg Full Spine wall stand.
The DR Detector must be inserted in portrait position.
2.
Adjust the height of the DR detector holder relative to the position of the
patient and the bodypart that is examined.
3.
Position the X-ray tube for exposing the Full Leg Full Spine wall stand.
Rotate the X-ray tube 90°.
4.
Set the source image distance (SID) to the predefined value for use with
the external collimator.
The SID value is defined during installation. The value must be large
enough for the X-ray field to cover the region of interest completely. For a
good result of the automatic stitching, the SID should be at least 220 cm.

5.
Adjust the height aligning the center of the X-ray beam to the center of the
DR detector holder.
If the external collimator is already in place, the vertical column with the
collimator can be swiveled 90° so it is not in the way of the collimator light
when centering the X-ray tube.
6.
Position and fixate the external collimator.
The external collimator will limit the size of the X-ray field to the size of
the DR detector.
Before moving the external collimator from its parking position, release
the brakes on the four wheels.
