Commissioning
7.1
Commissioning the product
1. Carefully commission the pressure measurement arrangement in order to
avoid pressure surges or sudden temperature changes.
2. Slowly open the shut-off units.
When performing pressure tests on
pipes, never apply pressure to pres-
sure gauges in excess of the speci-
fied permissible values for static
loads for the pressure gauge.
In many cases, the range for static
loads for a product is indicated by a
maximum value mark (A) (as per EN
837-1 / EN 837-3) on the dial.
In the case of fluctuating loads, pro-
ducts with maximum marks (A) at the
full scale end may only be subjected
to a pressure of 0.9 times the full
scale value. Products with a maxi-
mum mark (A) at 75 % of the full
scale value or products without a
maximum mark (A) may only be sub-
jected to a pressure of 2/3 of the full
scale value in the case of fluctuating
loads.
NOTICE
DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT
•
Verify that the maximum permissible operating temperature of the product is
not exceeded when cleaning or flushing the pressure line by dismounting the
product or by using a shut-off unit.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
