HANDLING
Check that there are no breakages or severe dents in the packing; if there are, point this
out immediately to the person who delivers the material. After removing the electropump
from the package, check that it has not suff ered any damage during transport; if damage
is found, inform the dealer within 8 days of delivery.
The electropump is packed in a cardboard box for transport; as its total weight and bulk
are not excessive, transport presents no problems.
The electropumps must never be carried, lifted or made to operate hanging from their
power cable.
If the power cable is damaged in any way it must be replaced and not repaired.
Qualifi ed personnel must also be employed for all electrical repairs which, if badly carried
out, could cause damage and accidents.
SUB-ZERO TEMPERATURE
The electropump can withstand sub-zero temperatures as long as it is operating or
completely immersed in the water.
The impeller may freeze if the eletropump is removed from the water, and therefore
exposed to sub-zero temperatures.
In this case, immerse the electropump in the water and let the ice melt before starting.
Never use a fl ame to not ruin the gasket and plastic parts of the pump.
CLEANING
If the electropump has been used in a liquid with solid particles, run it in clean water for
a few minutes.
Otherwise mud, cement and similar impurities may dry up, blocking the seals and stopping
the electropump from working.
STORAGE
If the electropump will not be used for a long time:
• store it in a dry place;
• put it in vertical position and check it is stable and fi rm.
During a storage period, we suggest to make the impeller roll, by hands, at least every 2
months, in order to avoid the mechanical seals stick.
If the pump has been stopped for more than 6 months, this rotation movement becomes
necessary.
