WORKING CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS
AFPUMPS S.r.l.
submersible power pumps, models MASTER/STREAM/HM/HV/QM/
QV are vertical axle, monobloc, single impeller type, designed for “submerged”
working in fi xed or mobile installations.
•
MASTER:
power pumps 2 poles 2850 rpm with sumerged impeller, multichannel open
type and suction grinding process. They are particularly adapted for pumping discharge
water containing solid, fi lamentous or fi brous parts which need grinding. To prevent
damage to the grinding system, the pumped liquids must not contain abrasive particles
or materials
(e.g. sand,gravel)
which would cause wear to the mechanical parts.
•
STREAM:
power pumps 2 poles 2850 rpm with sumerged impeller, multichannel
with strainer inox; particularly suitable for pumping rainwater, seepage and where
prevalence is required. Thw series lends itself to uses of irrigation, water games and
fi shing industry.
•
HM:
power pumps 2 poles 2850 rpm with closed single-channel impeller HM 65/102-
103 or open HM 80/111-112 particularly suitable for pumping clean water, liquids
containing solid short fi bre particles, sewage, mud; free passage allowed of 40 mm for
HM 65, 45 mm for HM 80 and 55 mm for HM 81.
•
HV:
power pumps 2 poles 2850 rpm with Vortex type impeller, particulary suitable for
water containing a large ammount of solids and long fi bre, raw and waste watyers,
stirred and raw sludge, rotten sludge and mixed waters; free passage allowed of 55
mm for HV 65, 65 mm for HV 80 and 70 mm for HV 81.
•
QM:
power pumps 4 poles 1450 rpm with submerged impeller multichannel open,
designed for pumping waters with a high concentration of solid or long fi bre parts, for
liquids with high concentrations of gas and sewage; free passage allowed of 75 mm for
QM 80, 85 mm for QM 100 and 90 mm for QM 101.
•
QV:
power pumps 4 poles 1450 rp with Vortex type impeller, designed for pumping
waters with a high concentration of solid or long fi bre parts, for liquids with high
concentrations of gas and sewage; free passage allowed of 60 mm for QV 65, 70/80
mm for QV 80 and 90 mm for QV 100 / QV 101.
Operating limits:
•
with a temperature above 40 °C, density above 1100 kg/m
3
;
•
with pH range between 6 and 10;
•
containing chemically and mechanically aggressive substances for the materials the
pump is made from;
•
containing infl ammable or explosive substances;
•
any other liquids with diff erent properties to those specifi ed for each type of pump.
None of the machines are suitable for installing in wells, tanks or other places where there
is gas and/or risk of explosion.
The maximum immersion depth for all the power pumps is 20 m
(with a cable of the right
length)
.
For continuous operations and to allow the motor to cool down correctly, the pump must be
completely immersed in the liquid being pumped
(minimum immersion depth)
.
To prevent damage to the power pump, the number of starts/hour evenly distributed must
be less 20.
The acoustic pressure measured at the minimum depth for the pump to work, is lower than
70 dB (A); when the pump is submerged there is no sound at all.
