System Under Test

5V/1A AC/DC

USB-C Adaptor

Optional External

Indication

CAUTION – Potential Hazard

If the DC+ and DC- sense wires are at risk of mechanical damage in their installed
location, appropriately rated in-line fusing is

highly recommended

 due to the potential

fault currents available from the connected battery bank.

The EarthGuard is internally fused at

50mA

. As such, operational current on DC+ and

DC- will never exceed 50mA even in the event of an internal failure. External in-line
fusing is purely for protection from a short circuit occurring between the DC+/- sense
wiring as high potential fault currents (Fire Hazard) are present.
