Adjustments Before First Firing - Continued

5. Adjust the air pressure switch shown in Figure 8-20 to the start of the scale.

6. Purge the air from the gas line.

7. Fit a U-type manometer, shown in Figure 8-21, to the gas pressure test point on the sleeve.

The manometer readings are used to calculate the MAX. burner power using the diagram on
page 26.

Before starting up the burner it is good practice to adjust the gas train so that ignition takes
place in conditions of maximum safety, i.e., with gas delivery at the minimum.
