19.
Perform the Combustion Calibration procedure in Section 4. of the
Benchmark 5000

Installation and Startup Guide
, OMM-0123 (GF-207).
20. Return the unit to service following successful completion of the Combustion Calibration
procedures. Make sure that the unit is operating in the AUTO mode. The “MAN” light in the
upper left of the C-More Controller should NOT be lit in AUTO mode.
4.6 SAFETY DEVICE TESTING
Systematic and thorough tests of the operating and safety devices should be performed to
ensure that they are operating as designed. Certain code requirements, such as ASME CSD-1,
require that these tests be performed on a scheduled basis. Test schedules must conform to
local jurisdictions. The results of the tests should be recorded in a log book. See the
BMK
5000/6000 Platinum Installation and Start-up manual (GF-202)
for a description and
instructions for performing these tests.
4.7 BURNER INSPECTION
The Burner assembly is located at the front of the unit's heat exchanger. The Burner assembly
may be hot. Therefore, allow the unit to cool sufficiently before removing the Burner assembly.
NOTE:
In order to perform this procedure most efficiently with a minimum of steps, a simple support
rig has been designed to hold up the blower and Air/Fuel Valve assembly while the blower
plenum is removed to allow the Burner assembly to be removed for maintenance. Use of this
support will prevent the blower’s weight from stressing the connection to the gas train. This
support rig prevents having to dismantle the entire Blower and Air/Fuel Valve assembly from
the gas train. The support rig is available as an after-market part.
The following parts will be required for reassembly after Burner inspection:
